Measure lead Behaviors:

When moving towards our goals from point A to point B, it's essential to identify the right level of action. Lag Measures refer to the results, while Lead Measures are the actions most impacting our goals.

To achieve your goals, it's important to use leverage to create lag and lead measures that are predictive and influenceable. However, changing people's behaviors through daily or weekly improvement and influence is the most challenging aspect. To increase engagement, it's crucial to measure progress every day.

  1. Lag measure: 60% of preschool classrooms implement a rotation station system where activities and stations are planned.

  2. Lead measures: The students utilize iPads and technology stations at least three days per week.

  3. Lead Measures: Students engage once a weekly blended learning model to interact with their lesson content, reflect on their progress, and document their achievements.

The six sources include a plugin for 4DX.

In my opinion, The six sources of influence impact the way people approach situations and challenges by shaping their beliefs and behaviors. Our behaviors determine how we react and manage problems within our organization. The 4DX model enables us to organize and structure our behaviors instead of reactively. Utilizing the 4DX strategy can break down our objectives into manageable and achievable steps. For instance, in my innovation plan, I have a significant goal that I desire to attain, but I recognize that I can only reach it by utilizing the 4DX tool to move from macro to micro. Using the six sources of influence, I can select and emulate the behaviors necessary to achieve smaller objectives, ultimately leading to accomplishing the bigger goal.
