The power of the yet has influenced me to push myself from the first time I read the book. It stayed with me; it is part of how we handle our learning challenges because we all have them. As a teacher and an apprentice, I have faced challenges, but I have told myself that I am on the right path to overcome them. With all the difficulties that come with it but here we go. So that word 'yet' is a 10% charge that boosts you when you are already low on battery. It is like when your iPhone has 3%, and you connect it for 5 minutes, it is still functional, achieves its goal, and stays connected.
Undoubtedly, the growth mentality is more open when receiving feedback. It does not mean that it is to our liking, but if the way we receive it generates what it generates in us, it changes the result we can give it.
As a Teacher, I have been through both barriers in a fixed mindset, working hard and believing there is no value in sacrifice or outcome, but I am happy to say I have passed the barrier side, but still working on my growth mindset.
