I have been studying applying educational Technology ePortfolio (5303) and Disruptive innovation in Technology (5305). I am passionate about this; I enjoyed creating this e-portfolio. My bachelor's degree is in marketing and advertising, and designing and developing websites and blogs is my passion.
Each week I wrote learning reflections and I really enjoyed this time in fact I would like you to visit two of my favorites. Authentic leaning is about the experience and Where are my works? I have cultivated a new hobby: blogging. I have loved the learning process that I have had in creating an e-portfolio about my learning, especially during the reflection process.
As a publicist, I have created many websites for different people, but now in this new role as a teacher, I found a reason and why to continue creating my own and keeping the property on my learning and ownership. The combination of knowledge and resources our mentor Dr. H, gave us made this e-portfolio's content possible.
I learned a lot about the disruptive innovation course, which led me to challenge myself and get involved. It was not easy because facing an academic language different from my mother tongue was a challenge; adapting to studying again after 8 years and now with 3 children was exhausting but satisfying.
Focusing so much on research and reading helped me to prove what COVA means as a student. I had many moments of frustration but also a joy to see how my knowledge grew, and the evolution was being seen increasingly. Comparing my first post in my e-portfolio, my first proposal letter, with my last assignment, I saw how much I learned.
I have been researching different resources to work with children and implement e-portfolios and blended learning models in future projects for children from prek to kindergarten.
One of my favorite parts in this course, and it was mighty, were the videos, books, and resources on mindset and CSLE. I was very passionate about reading Dr. Dweck's Book "Mindset," and although I am not a person who reads a lot, I enjoyed and was passionate about this book, so much so that I read it entirely and for me, that completed my goal in my life, it has inspired me to the habit of reading even if it is daily for a few minutes a day.
Team collaboration
From the beginning of the course, I knew this was only possible with other people's objective feedback. I did not want to be limited in my opinion and believe that everything was good without having the perspective of other people, so from the beginning of the class, I invited Iliana and Siary to work together, I created a WhatsApp group to be able to communicate more efficiently, and I constantly contacted them so that we could start working as a team.
Unfortunately, Siary could not continue with us, so I invited Adriana and Vitalia to work with us, and everything has been balanced and improved. The feedback, the perspective of other people, and learning from their experiences, each meeting and where we could encourage, support and teach each other according to their philosophy, knowledge, and ability.

I was working in the two classes 5303/5305 with Adriana Celis, Iliana Reyes and Vitalia Acosta. We communicated in many different ways - weekly Zoom meetings, Whatsapp groups and through shared google drive documents. Every week we met to review the assignments, feed our progress, and resolve questions. Each of us had critical participation and chores every week:
Take pictures.
Take notes about the meeting.
Lead the schedule.
Review agenda and else.
Iliana created a calendar where we could visualize weekly assignments and the meetings that we had both in class and ourselves. I was in charge of taking photos of the evidence, Adriana of the call agenda so as not to miss any point. We created a document in google docs where we took note of what was discussed and any questions we had to resolve in the next class. Every week each one was in charge of taking the notes of the meetings. Our meeting was very productive; we could teach our classmates about some abilities and learning that we have. Please click here to review our meeting notes.
My participation was to 95% of the discussion groups proposed by Dr. H, I saw the videos, I read the books and posts, I gave my opinion and I also commented and read the opinions of my other classmates. I certainly would have loved to see all and each one of the portfolios and proposal projects of my classmates but the time was short. I learned about the voice of other people and how you can use your voice to reflect and follow the evolution of your own learning process. I collaborated with others giving them feedback. I could have organized my time better, but I did my best.
I attended 95% of the classes and actively participated in the break room discussion. I appreciate this time because I had an opportunity to improve my vision and get on the opinion of other people. My assignment was delivered within the stipulated times and with enough time to receive feedback.
I'm not perfect I'm a forever learner.
I need to improve my time management to follow with the next assignment. I spent overthinking time when is about to type, sometimes I felt uncomfortable developing my ideas in a few posts, and learning to connect my thoughts when writing.
Also I need to improve my comprehension of academic text and typing to get my ideas and connect the dots efficiently. Likewise, I took a long time and wondered if I was doing an excellent job with APA rules.
Overall when I rate myself and think and how I contributed to the learning of others and myself: in applying educational Technology e-Portfolio EDLD 5303 with 97/100 and I rate my self in Disruptive innovation in Technology EDLD 5305, with 45/50.
Please look at the following video to review more evidence to my collaboration.
