Implementation Outline​ 

Ready Set e-Learning

Phase 1: Building the foundation and sharing the idea.
​Timeline: 1 month

A. Establish a purpose:  

  1. Understand Why am interested in creating a blended learning initiative from Pre-k - Kinder.

  2. What are the academic needs of Dual language students, and what gaps are they showing in upper levels?

  3. Stakeholders involved in the project:  Principal & Prek - Kinder coach. 

B. Collect and share the vision: Moving in the same direction. 

  1. Share the proposal letter. 

  2. Collect important literature reviews and share them with stakeholders

  3. Schedule a meeting to discuss the project and Encourage stakeholders to participate.

 C. What is our starting point? 

  1. Identify School culture: Although technology is supported, the school sees it as an optional tool; its use is limited.

  2. Staff proficiency: Teachers need professional development.

  3. Current instruction program: The station system is employed for pre-k without technology. 

  4. Technology needs infrastructure: 

  • Student device: iPad with access to WIFI

  • Classlink for each student with printer Quickcards

  • Currently, apps renaissances: (lalillo - My on ) Seesaw 

  • Funding / Resourcing: No additional funding is needed Project sustained by the tech department - IT requests, fix devices, etc. 

 Phase 2 Planning and design Timeline:  4 months

A.  Define SMART goals​.

BSelect digital content: Our target are students of kinder dual language and English language learners and my interest is to improve:

  • Domain II Emergent Literacy: Language and Communication, 

  • Domain III Emergent Literacy related to reading, 

  • Domain IV Emergent Literacy is related to writing. 

C, Digital apps and tools:  Students will have the opportunity to work individually, on Renaissance app: Lalillo - My On also Seesaw, and collaborate in the learning of their peers using Kahoot, making them the owners of their experience, giving them voice and having control of their education.

D. Professional development: Meet with the coach to review the applications and adjust the curriculum established by the district transferred to the digital area. Adjust the units to work in the pilot.

E. Instructional delivery: Rotation station

“We do not yet consider this a pilot because this is a designed opportunity to fail small and fail fast, adapt quickly, and learn from mistakes” (Tucker et al., 2016, p.20)

3. Phase 3 Pre-Pilot Timeline 2 months

A. Participants: Mrs. Laguna Dual language class

B. Introduce: It is necessary to modify the classroom space, furniture, and instructional time and introduce the students to the new rotation station during language arts time (teacher small group mini lesson -  Individual offline station  - Collaborative online station - collaborative offline station) 

B. Share with students expectations

C. Trial week: Coach observes rotations, support students and teacher and give feedback

D. Meet with opportunities for improvement, review the data, and prioritize student-centered learning. Adjust details and processes such as class management, mindset, strategies to implement collaboration, ownership of work, and learning for each student.

Phase 4 Pilot A/B  Timeline:  10 months

A. EOY 2024 Participants: Mrs. Laguna

  1. Active prior knowledge with Best practices blended learning

  2. Data management & usage: “Inform, adjust, and personalize instruction on a frequent basis” (Tucker et al., 2016, p.29).  Access to tools and data is part of students’ learning. 

  3. Review and adjust if your students are taking ownership of their learning. Engage and be involved in the process. 

B. BOY & MOY 2025

  1. Start of a new school year, define SMART goals for your students and implement the blended learning model with rotation stations from the beginning.

  2. Introduce class expectations and management.

  3. Active prior knowledge with Best practices blended learning

  4. Data management & usage, show, and report encourage the coach to be part of the process.

Phase 5: Show & share: Implementation expansion

A. Stage 1:  Show and share

  1. Collect the data: Trends informal and formal data from pre-pilot and pilot years.

  2. Feedback from the coach and principal

  3. Reflection: Meet and set SMART goals for implementation expansion. What modifications should be made? Is there any additional support needed? 

  4. Show the project with other admin, coach, and teacher from pre-k to kinder.

 B. Stage 2 partial implementation

  1. Pick  2 classes from dual language to pre-k and Kinder ( 2 each)

  2. Professional development: For a new teacher on the project is important to develop why blended learning, how it will use, how to assess  and collect data and use it to get students’ ownership

  3. Show and explain instructional model rotation stations

  4. A trial week and implement phases 3 & 4 

  5. Continue analyzing, sharing, and getting feedback. 

C. Stage 3 Full implementation Next school year 

  1. Professional development for all teachers pre-k and kinder

  2. Show and share the project with other coaches and teacher grades.

  3. Use phases 3 & 4 to implement.
