Applied digital learning Journey Synthesis

I want to compare my learning experience to a roller coaster ride. Initially, I was nervous and excited about the first two assignments. The first two subjects felt like a roller coaster ride. I am grateful to have started the Disruptive Innovation and E-portfolio courses during the summer. The Disruptive course was disruptive in every way, but it helped me fill specific gaps I experienced during my first year as a teacher. This is where my innovative project was born.

On the other hand, the e-portfolio was like the little breath you take on a roller coaster. I enjoyed creating the e-portfolio, as I love writing. However, writing the project presentation letter was my Achilles heel.

After finishing the roller coaster's first turn, I took two beautiful subjects - 5302 Concepts of Educational and 5304 Leading Organization. It felt like the excitement after crossing the first slide of the roller coaster ride. These two subjects helped me discover my learning philosophy and taught me how important it is to keep my learners in the right mindset. Leading Organization was particularly valuable, as it helped me learn how to become an inspiring leader. To do this, I needed a growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to plan and motivate others. By doing so, I could empower people around me to achieve their full potential and greatness.

I completed some fantastic assignments in 5313 Created Significant Learning Enviroments & 5313 Development Effective Professional Learning. During this time, I learned about adopting concepts such as crietivity, exploration, and collaborative play to create a new learning culture for the future. I also developed my learning philosophy, which is based on humanisim. I had never read so many books on philosophy and behavioralism before, but I loved them! Understanding my philosophy was a fundamental part of this process as I adapted it.

And like that unexpected curve on the roller coaster, it came like this: 5315 Assess Digital Learning & 5317 Resources Digital. This Resources Digital course was one of my favorites and truly inspiring. It taught me how to create a publication and work on a project with my podcast team using the C.O.V.A model. We were able to exercise our creativity throughout the process.

When conducting action research, I found that having a clear and consistent subject matter was necessary for success. However, it was also one of my most emotionally challenging experiences. Despite this, I found great value in grounding my research in the reality of my classroom and avoiding the temptation to compare it to other schools or grades. This was particularly important for meeting my school's and my students' needs.

What I have accomplished:

I gradually introduced e-portfolios in my small classroom despite my school's tight budget. I later realized that ClassDojo also allowed me to create a similar e-portfolio. Adapting my students to technological tools as a learning method has been invaluable. However, I need to improve the number of stations implemented, as too many can be overwhelming. Additionally, I need to work on improving the calendar for using digital stations, as I must prioritize the sensory and social experience of preschool-aged children. Nevertheless, I have found the iPad useful for preserving all the school year's memories.

My next step is to test the project for nine continuous weeks, assess the results, and present them to the rest of my team for evaluation. They can then adapt it in their classrooms, measure and review if it works, and make adjustments for the benefit of the student.

I am excited about the potential of Ready Set E-Learning and my other upcoming projects. This course has helped me to improve my skills in designing learning environments that meet the needs of my students. I am taking things one step at a time, but I aim to turn these projects into reality.
